Broken pieces of gossip go flying to a westwind flow;
Might of me stirring time - a one man show;
Lay me down in history - closer to immortality I go;
The winds, collect me in ocean groans - one mystic roar.
The night so carries on with vicious speed;
In a forgotten free of mind, I have no desperate need;
The cats live and cats live on forever as I grind my teeth:
It's their magic in me, in breath, in spirit, it breeds.
The devil is jealous - his name, true delight;
He visits me so pleasantly in my direct sight;
His true words embed a written page - his tauntry, his own right;
He loves me not, this one special night.
He plays with me the chill and warmth of words in the breeze;
We are two speaking spirits and we do as we please;
He is the devil and I am the light, in cordial ease;
God is watching, watching us - carefully.
